Birthday Cake

Mmm, it was a birthday cake night!! Jacob's is having a gymnastics party tomorrow-- his favorite activity is the foam pit and the balance beam. He designed his own cake (on the right) and here you can see the finished product. I can't wait for him to see it tomorrow!

Note the brown 'blobs' on the drawing -- that is "melted chocolate chip polka dots" -- he was VERY specific so I hope I have done his vision justice!

The balance beam -- everything is buttercream except the beam which is made from fondant.

Still here...

I know it's been a while, but well -- things have been busy! Today I had my friends two kids, plus my three. I baked a birthday cake and prepared a meal for a friend who just had a baby. In addition, I made this cake for my friend to welcome little Nathan to the world. Aside from that, last week was VBS with 26 2 and 3 year olds and Jacob has started swim lessons. Woohoo!
