Well, one of the side effects of cake class is that you have to learn how to make a cake -- this should not be difficult, however each time I have tried a butter cake I have ended up with ummm... cake scraps! In the interest of not letting them go to waste, we have Cake Balls.
Here's the recipe, I didn't have canned frosting on hand so I used what I had. We're working on a second batch now.

More to come but wanted to get the pictures up before the course is over! haha -- The first is a butter cake, filled with a raspberry filling. The second is devils food, with strawberry filling. The cake balls are super yummy ways to use up your scraps!
